Kanarina Shehu

Kanarina graduated from the Michigan State University with a Master of Social Work in Organization and Community Leadership as an outstanding graduate scholar. She completed her undergraduate studies in Public Policy and Management with High Honors at the American University in Kosovo. Her career interest is to utilize effective advocacy tools for developing resources and networks to enhance family functioning, the safety of children and women as victims of abuse, and their education. Kanarina has previous work experience with two agencies of the Michigan State University, including Kinship Care Resource Center and Safe Place and extended experience in research and advocacy for under-represented communities in Kosovo with organizations such as Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN), Public International Law and Policy Group (PILPG), and Center for Research, Documentation and Publication (CRDP).
