Kosovo Disability Forum (KDF) is a non-profit umbrella organization and a representative mechanism of Disability Person Organizations in Kosovo. KDF has been established under close assistance of European Union Office in Kosovo, as an organization who uniformly represents, defends and promotes the rights of persons with disabilities. Kosovo Disability Forum has been officially registered in 2017; even though, it was informally established since in 2014. KDF has its Strategic Leadership including the President, two Vice-presidents and the Board Committee.
The mission of KDF is to address and advocate for issues of national importance affecting the lives of citizens with disabilities, who make up 12%-15% of the total number of the population in our country. Kosovo Disability Forum aims to actively address and advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities in Kosovo, in order to make sure that they are being respected and the institutions are undertaking the right steps towards an inclusive and non-discriminatory society. One of the main aims of Kosovo Disability Forum is to co-implement and monitor the implementation of “National Strategy of Persons with Disabilities in Kosovo” jointly with the Government of Republic of Kosovo. The proper implementation of such Strategy ensures the improvement of the life of persons with disabilities in Kosovo.

Handikos- Asocciation of Paraplegics and Paralyzed Children of Kosovo
OPFAKOS- Organization of Parents of Children with Disabilities in Kosovo
Down Syndrome Kosovo,
Deshira Club - Persons with Mental Disabilities
KDF seeks to unify the strategies, policies and movements of these organizations in order to better represent the needs and concerns of persons with disabilities in our country.
